Joyful Living....
Our search for joy takes us many different directions—dream holidays, shopping, food, clothes, friends, cars—the list is almost endless.
My guess is that if you perked up at the mention of shopping, holidays, or cars, you might have felt a twinge of guilt. We often view the joy of temporal things as less than spiritual and show our discomfort by apologizing for nice things: “I wouldn’t have bought this, but someone gave me a wonderful deal.” As if real Christians never eat quiche, drive cool cars, or wear designer clothes!
No doubt God’s greatest gift to us is our relationship with His Son Jesus. It’s a gift beyond comparison. Jesus promised that when we abide in Him we will experience the fulfillment of His joy (John 15:11), and without that kind of deep, abiding joy the rest of life is mundane at best.
But Scripture also casts the joy of the Lord in terms of temporal things. The enjoyment of “things” can be a positive spiritual experience. When we recognize that He “gives us richly all things to enjoy” (1 Tim. 6:17) and that “every good gift . . . is from above” (James 1:17), our hearts should be full of thankfulness and praise. This, in and of itself, is an act of worship! Enjoy the Giver and the gifts. — Joe Stowell

Apple for dinner...
I easily get upset.
And I just dont like it when I get upset. So many things seems to come out from my mind and I ca feel my rebelious mind whispering to me, encouraging me to be upset some more.
Just tonight, my housemates forgot to send my dinner (we cook our food in turns, the office is just walking distance from our boarding house, most of the time they send my breakfast or dinner) and of course I felt neglected and self pity went in coupled with so many thougts, I know im over reacting, but I guess I was too excited to think whats for dinner and eneded up having nothing. Or maybe because I was too hungry or I pitied myself for having an apple for dinner.
Hmmmm maybe they have their reasons, but I just hope I can let go of these negative felings and these negative thoughts from coming to life.
I guess I was forced to go on a apple diet for dinner tonight, well, on the other hand I can still consideer myself lucky, many people still dont have something to eat, im just one of the lucky one who can still enjoy an apple for dinner.

Another day....
I passed the day without a subscriber getting mad at me. Its unusual but im just glad. Its always a daily prayer that I make it through the day with flying colors and true enough another answered prayer. I experimented on being childish with subscribers and they respond in such a manner, and try to be nice as much as possible no matter how maldita and demanding they seem to be, I pretend not to get impatient and impolite to them even when they are shouting and seems to get the earwax from my ears.
I survive the day with just a smile and laugh at their demands. Most often I just joke about it and laugh. Its just a matter of coping. No matter how I try there are things that is beyond my control and God is in control over all the things around.
I Want to Grow Old with you....
I wanna grow old with you.
A to Z of Stress Management
Be aware of your own stress meter: Know when to step back and cool down.
Concentrate on controlling your own situation, without controlling everybody else.
Daily exercise will burn off the stress chemicals.
Eat lots of fresh fruit, veggies, bread and water, give your body the best to perform better. Forgive others, don't hold grudges and be tolerant -- not everyone is as capable as you.
Gain perspective on things, how important is the issue?
Hugs, kisses and laughter: Have fun and share your feelings with others.
Identify stressors in advance and plan to deal with them better next time.
Judge your own performance realistically; don't set goals beyond your own reach.
Keep a positive attitude, your outlook will influence outcomes and the way others treat you. Limit alcohol, drugs and other stimulants, they affect your perception and behaviour.
Manage money well, seek advice and save at least 10 per cent of what you earn.
No is a word you need to learn to use, wherever necessary, without feeling guilty
Outdoor activities by yourself, or with friends and family, can be a great fun and a way to relax. Play your favourite music rather than watching television.
Quit smoking: It is stressing your body daily, not to mention about its killing effects. Relationships: Nurture and enjoy them, learn to LISTEN MORE AND TALK LESS.
Sleep well, with a firm mattress & a supportive pillow; don't overheat yourself and allow plenty of ventilation.
Treat YOURSELF once a week with a massage, dinner out, a movie etc.; Moderation is the key. Understand things from the other person's point of view.
Verify information from the source before exploding.
Worry less, it really does not get things completed better or quicker.
Xpress: Make a regular retreat to your favourite space, make holidays part of your yearly plan and budget.
Yearly goal setting; Plan what you want to achieve based on your priorities in your career, relationships, etc.
Zest for life: Each day is a gift; Smile and be thankful that you are part of the bigger picture

Let not your hearts be troubled...
PEACE OF MIND If you were to ask your neighbor, "What would give you peace of mind?" he might tell you, "A vacation in Bermuda!" or "An extra hundred grand would give me peace!", or "A new Ferrari would make me content!" But going places – and getting stuff – is usually a temporary solution ... Peace of mind rarely comes from getting more stuff. Getting more stuff usually leads to wanting even more stuff! Peace of mind starts with being grateful for what we have right now.
GRATITUDE is POWER When we are thankful for what we have - for the friends we have, and for the things we've got, we attract more good people and good things! People who always complain about what they DON'T HAVE, stay stuck. Complainers attract more things to complain about! It is a law of life. It's hard to explain, but you can observe it around you. We get more of what we dwell upon. That's why all the spiritual masters have taught the same lesson .. "Start by being thankful. Be happy with what you have now, and more will come your way." It's practical advice. Every time you say a silent "thank you" you become more peaceful – and more power. ...............Keep Sharing:-)................

Rubik's cube mania...
Actually, the IT people specifically Arthur started it and now it circulated like a virus that has spread to our department. I never tried solving a rubik's cube before even when I was young I never imagine myself be able to solve one.
I bought one and patiently try to understand the algorithm and maybe someday, someday be able to solve it.
How about you my friends have you solved a rubik's cube before? Theres also another rubik's cube and its in circular form, maybe more difficult than the square one.

Dance With my father again
Im sharing the lyrics of the song that pricked my heart:
"Any man can be a Father,
but it takes a special person to be called Dad."
Dance With My Father
by Luther Vandross
Back when I was a child,
before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high
and dance with my mother and me and then
Spin me around 'til I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And I knew for sure I was loved
If I could get another chance,
another walk, another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never, ever end
How I'd love, love, love
To dance with my father again
When I and my mother would disagree
To get my way, I would run from her to him
He'd make me laugh just to comfort me
Then finally make me do just what my mama said
Later that night when I was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he would be gone from me
If I could steal one final glance,
One final step, one final dance with him
I'd play a song that would never, ever end
'Cause I'd love, love, love
To dance with my father again
Sometimes I'd listen outside her door
And I'd hear how my mother cried for him
I pray for her even more than me
I pray for her even more than me
I know I'm praying for much too much
But could you send back the only man she loved
I know you don't do it usually
But dear Lord she's dying
To dance with my father again
Every night I fall asleep
and this is all I ever dream
Listen to this song its really nice!

Prayer for Healing

I beg you to heal the torments that cause anxiety in my heart;
I beg you, in a particular way, to heal all who are the cause of sin.
I beg you to come into my life and heal me of the
psychological harms that struck me in my early years
and from the injuries that they caused throughout my life.
Lord Jesus, you know my burdens.
I lay them all on your Good Shepherd's Heart.
I beseech you--by the merits of the great,
open wound in your heart--to heal the small wounds that are in mine.
Heal the pain of my memories,
so that nothing that has happened to me
will cause me to remain in pain and anguish, filled with anxiety.
Heal, O Lord, all those wounds that have been the cause
of all the evil that is rooted in my life.
I want to forgive all those who have offended me.
Look to those inner sores that make me unable to forgive.
You who came to forgive the afflicted of heart,
please, heal my own heart.
Heal, my Lord Jesus, those intimate wounds
that cause me physical illness.
I offer you my heart.
Accept it, Lord, purify it and give me the sentiments of your Divine Heart.
Help me to be meek and humble.
Heal me, O Lord, from the pain caused by the death of my loved ones,
which is oppressing me.
Grant me to regain peace and joy in the knowledge
that you are the Resurrection and the Life.
Make me an authentic witness to your Resurrection,
your victory over sin and death,
your living presence among us.
Amen.

First time to snorkel....

Last April 19, 2008 saturday was by far the best summer outing i ever had. It was my first time to try snorkeling and i really enjoyed watching the corals, star fishes and all the colorful and playful fishes under the sea. It was am awesome sight and I will try to do it again if given the chance. At first I was really not confident about it since I dont know how to swim, but with the help of the instructor and my office mates I was able to face my fears and enjoyed the activity. It was great my first time to play with the creatures under water and the wonderful things that I have seen there.
Its a nice activity and I long to do it again if given the chance, we did it early in the morning and it was still very cool and the sun is still very friendly.

Just for today
...listen to someone's heart
... drop a coin where a child can find it
... learn something new, then teach it to someone
... tell someone you're thinking of them
... hug a loved one
... don't hold a grudge
... don't be afraid to say "I'm sorry"
... look a child in the eye and tell them how great they are
... look beyond the face of a person into their heart
... make a promise, and keep it
... call someone, for no other reason than to just say "hi"
... show kindness to an animal ... stand up for what you believe in
... smell the rain, feel the breeze, listen to the wind
... use all your senses to their fullest
... cherish all of your TODAYS

Myheart Prints: Struggles

Its a wonderful day, and just a perfect day to clean some old junk from my room. I cam across this cute pooh bear yellow spring notebook. My Purpose driven Life notebook, exactly 4 years ago, I had a commitment signed with Erna, Gary and Joey. We promised to finish the forty day journey but unfortunately when I checked I was only until the 37th day. I failed to finish the book and I intend to finish it this time. And four years ago I was writing about my struggles in life, my spiritual life, my daily struugles with work and life, my bad habits and so many other things. Specically, I wanted to end my not so nice way of handling my subscribers, I was so desperate to end it four years, but I'm still entangled with the webs of the lack patience to overcome it, and the lack of humility and the heart to do it. I dont know if my temper has something to do with being born on the month of February or maybe its just a matter of having this kind of attitude.......Hmmmm, how I wish I could somehow change. Lord, please remind me every that its not about me. I know the road is never easy but I put the trust in You.............

Heart Print: Your Word

I gave it all to You,
though it was painful,
I know You'd always be there by my side,
Its different now, I didnt listened before,
and now Your word is so strong,
I cant help but obey.
Maybe this is the ONE TRUE LOVE,
YOU are my true love,
You knocked in my heart many times,
I didnt heard YOU,
I was busy with my found earthy love,
thought it made me complete,
but never knew all along,
that it was YOU,
it was YOU all along.
Eight years,
I never thought I could make it through,
with out the love the I have found,
But, it was YOUR WORD that was worth it all,
You gave it to me during the commitment conference,
and You made it all easy for me,
though there were tears,
but YOU wiped it all for me,
YOUR WORD comforting me,
YOUR WORD healing me,
YOUR WORD revealing to me,
and YOUR WORD showing me
the love beyond compare.
THank you dear Lord,
thank you for being so patient with me,
I am going to wait on YOU,
and YOUR will for my life.
I Want to love YOU more.....

Assurance of Forgiveness
The basis upon which all sin is forgiven is found in Matthew 26:28: " This is my blood of the covenant which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."
What must we do in order to have our sins forgiven? Answer: 1 John 1:9 " If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."
The consequences of unconfessed sin:
Proverbs 28:13 He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces then finds mercy.
Psalms 66:18 If I cherished sin in my heart the Lord would have not listened.
What attitude of heart characterizes confession?
Psalm 38:18 I confess my iniquity, i am troubled by my sin. Confession as described by David Psalm 32:5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and you did not cover up my iniquity. I said " I confess my transgressions to the Lord" and you forgave the guilt of my sin. David's prayer expectation after confessiong his sin.
Psalm 52:12 Restore to the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit to sustain.
Our attitude towards others:
Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgive each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Why forgiveness matters?
1. Unforgiveness will hurt no one more than myself
2. Unforgiveness will often hurt others
3. Unforgiveness may deny healing to another
4. Unforgiveness affects my relationship with God
5. Unforgiveness is readily exploited by the Evil One
6. Forgiveness demonstrates Christ's presence
7. It shows our own experience of God's forgiveness
We never touch the ocean of God's love so much as when we love our enemies.
It is a joy to accept forgiveness, but it is almost a greater joy to give forgiveness.

I miss.....
* the hang outs in the library;I worked as a student assistant and I go there during my break time for my library duty, I miss the work, the books, the dusts, the librarians and my friends there.
* my crushes and the cute guys who hang out in the library......
* my professors, even though they were terrors but have learned to appreciate the beauty of learning and the good things that I have associated with it.
* those group studies that resulted into group eating and group talking; I guess thats the most ironic situations way back then, but it made us close together and created a bond among us.

SERIES EVEN AS FIRED-UP GINEBRA DEALS SMB ANOTHER BEATING
The Barangay Ginebra Kings delivered a telling message Friday evening that left the San Miguel Beermen bracing for worse.
What transpired in Game 4 was completely mind-boggling after the Kings pulled another lopsided victory – a 146-111 beating of the Beermen that evened the best-of-seven title series for the 2006-07 Talk N Text PBA Philippine Cup.
In fact, even Jong Uichico, the unassuming coach of Ginebra, said he has no explanation for his team’s fiery behavior of late.
“It’s really hard to explain… But I’m sure this has something to do with our intention to get back and tie the series,” Uichico said.

Barangay Ginebra is back in the finals.
Mark Caguioa limped out of the court with leg cramps in the last 4:32 of play but the Kings never lost heart, riding on the exploits of Rudy Hatfield, Ronald Tubid and Sunday Salvacion as they beat the Pals in Game 6 of their best-of-seven semis showdown.
"It’s all about heart and character. The boys just keep on playing wherever it brings us. It brought us to the finals in this case," said Ginebra coach Jong Uichico.
"It was a hard game and we just made the run at the right time," added Uichico after leading the Kings to their 16th finals entry.
The Kings take a shot at their third All-Filipino crown against either his former team San Miguel Beer or Red Bull.
"It’s gonna be exciting. What I’m afraid of is that we’ve lost so much emotion in this series. We might not have much left for the finals," said Uichico, who gained his 10th finals stint — his first outside San Miguel.
Minus Menk and Caguioa, the trio of Hatfield, Tubid and Salvacion made it happen, combining in a decisive 15-5 run in the fourth quarter that changed the complexion of the game.
After Salvacion fired a trey to cap that attack, the Kings had seized control at 90-83 entering the last two minutes of play.
Red Bull lost its coach on technical fouls but not its fighting heart, squeezing out a 104-100 win over San Miguel Beer to force a deciding Game 7 in their own semis series.
"What comes to my mind right now is divine justice. The boys vindicated me. It’s their warrior spirit that bailed us out," said coach Yeng Guiao, who was thrown out of the game for two technical fouls in an incident triggered by his collision with San Miguel shooter Dondon Hontiveros in front of the Red Bull bench.
"I don’t know why I was given two technical fouls. Dondon bumped into me, I protected myself then he did a good acting job. The San Miguel bench rushed at us. So I don’t understood why I was given two technical fouls," Guiao pointed out.
