Will there be a game 6?

Im a frustrated and broken hearted laker fan and a miami heat fan in the making, it would be alright if they lose this game. A game 6 would make it more exciting. For me there will be a game six.

Zelmarq's life testimony

I grew up in a small part of Carmen, in this City,  born into a god-fearing family for which I am thankful.  We attended church regularly , but knew nothing of a personal relationship with God.  My spiritual life was  a routine, I thought going to church every Sunday, joining the church choir , joining  holy week activities and doing good works were enough. I  Never heard about salvation although i studied in a Catholic school in high school.  Life was all normal and there was nothing to worry about since my father provided  for our needs  even if  his heath was not that good. My mother was  on his side  giving all her support and affection for the family.

My Father’s heath got worst. Our going to church, kneeling for his health and even medication were  not enough to stop him from leaving us.
I am the ate of 7 siblings, I had done my part of being the good daughter, tried to fill the missing link that my father used to have  but things were never the same. Life was difficult, I ended up working  as student assistant to support my studies and even my mother washed clothes just to support the family.

There were a lot of questions in mind that were beyond my comprehension and just brushed it aside and went on with the so called busy life I had. There was this emptiness,  something  was  missing. This emptiness defines lack of  purpose or substance; and meaninglessness.
Life  was about  me, I, and  myself . It revolves around  my studies, then work, family, career. It seems a purposeless life. I don’t even read the Bible and have no personal relationship with God. I only fall on bended knees when things get rough and its through Him that i cry out and find peace. It was a life without assurance, that if I die i didn’t know where i was going for i knew my good works were not enough to save me.

One day kuya Jerry asked us if are willing to have Bible  study and introduced us to ate Cessie  who became my spiritual mother last May 10, 2001. She introduced to me the Good News- that all of us are sinners that deserve death and hell, but God loved us so much, He sent Jesus Christ to die for our sins, and rose again. We can now go back to God be believing and receiving Jesus Christ into our hearts. I opened my heart and believe Christ as my Lord and Savior.  There were tears of joy on that day I met Jesus by faith. The same joy that ate cc felt, the same joy the angels felt when i said yes to Jesus, there must have been a grand celebration in heaven with angels rejoicing. Its indescribable, to know that Jesus cared for me and have died for my sins and how important i am to Him. I felt so special.  Jesus died for my sins, my sins behind that cross at Calvary. That as a  sinner I needed him, no amount of good works, education, good morals,  religion  could  save me. In John  14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way the truth and the life no comes to the father except through me”. Before, all my efforts  such as going to church, doing good, helping the poor, being a good daughter, doing good at school were all worthless and all dirty in God’s eyes. (Isaiah 64:6 )

That was the  start of learning and loving relationship with Jesus, my  Savior. But one thing I realized that life without Christ was dull and empty, but with Jesus in my life many things change, my plans, my priorities, my character. Although they are gradual, but there are sure changes, changes for the better and best.ly. I have learned to be sensitive to others and God gave me this desire to really share His love to those who are  still lost. I used to depend on my parents to help me and guide me but then the new life with Jesus helped me to depend on someone far greater than my earthly parents could give, my Father in heaven. I have found peace and comfort in the Bible, my source of hope.
I thank Christ Jesus, who had strengthened me, for choosing me to serve him even though I was a blasphemer, a murderer, a  persecutor before . But Jesus has sown mercy.  Now, I don’t want to go to heaven alone, i want to see friends, family, classmates and officemates and acquaintances. I want them to share with me the joy with Jesus in my heart and I want to see them in heaven also. I thank God for this life that he has given to be used by him to reach out to many more.

Wednesday weeping

Its a wonderful wednesday morning. I praise God for a new life, though I may not have everything in this life but Im thankful for all the blessings that He has poured, I may not have everything I want but I have enough to survive. There are so many reasons to smile, but this morning I had my reason to weep. I thought I have over grown the feeling, but I was never brave when it comes to matter that concerns fathers.

Yes, I cried this morning.

I saw rose rendon on facebook and I how I love the picture of her and her father.

I miss my father. I miss him so much. I ended up weeping. I wept hard. I never had the chance to have a picture with him and as far as I can remember we never had a family picture when he was around. My heart aches. Its aching more than the first broken heart I once had, its painful. Im embracing the pain. Its always this way, I end up getting involved with my emotions. Its already 3: 25pm and im always teary eyed since this morning when that thought comes to mind. I just try to think of happy thoughts to chase my tears away, but the tears just try to remind me that its alright to cry. Crying can be a good exercise for the heart.

Im not alone. There are lots of fatherless children in the world  but  cant I help but reveal the melancholic side of me, it does happen. Im just glad even though I no longer have a physical father  have my Father up there who has lavished me with so much love and care, who died for my sins and save my from eternal damnation, my first love love, Jesus Christ.
Its ok to weep once in a while.
Its ok to cry.
And to those children who have their fathers with them, pray for your fathers, for salvation,  for good health and for protection, always. Treasure each moment together.

Late night supper

Im so tired. Went home late today since its the last day of the month and cut and lots of work done today but still lots of work waiting to be finished tomorrow. I tried to finish them but I have decided in my heart to go home and eat, I need to refuel, anyway tomorrow is another day. Most of the time when I get home late I no longer eat dinner, sleep will help me forget hunger but tonight was an exception, I was starving and needed food, I want food and thank God there was still pinakbet on the table and fried fish, wow, it was perfect, it was the dinner I dreamed of, wish granted, Thank you Lord!, you are so awesome. And the late dinner fed a hungry soul and kept me awake, I cant sleep with a stomach freshly fed, I need to burn a few calories somehow and browsing through facebook and a few blog hopping was a great calorie burning activity to keep up.

Im tired.

I need to rest.

Tomorrow  is another day.

Lost and found

I found the gift for myself for my 35th birthday. Its not some costly jewelry for I know I couldnt afford one, and it was not a time for myself to go somewhere for I would want to spend it with someone, I did that last year, though it was also fun it would have been more exciting if I shared it with someone. And that gift for myself is this cute lamb stuffed toy. Why?
I felt it. The moment we gazed at each others eyes, I picked him up and we were inseparable. He reminded me so much of myself. Helpless, vulnerable and needed a saviour. I named him lost and found, just like the lost sheep I also was lost and now Im found. I am helpless, and Im just glad he found me. Just like the story in the bible how the shepherd left his flock just to find the one missing sheep, and when He found the lost sheep he joyfully puts on his shoulders and goes home. Then he calls friends and neighbors to rejoice with Him for he has found his lost sheep. "tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent’” (Luke 15:3-7). I imagined how the angels in heaven rejoiced when I accepted Jesus Christ as my saviour and Lord last may 10, 2001.

Now, i have lost and found, he has a new home and is one of my favorite sleeping buddy, always beside me when I sleep at night.

Made me think.......

Things and events in life happen for a reason, nothing happens by chance or luck, they happen to teach us a lesson and I learned mine last February 12, 2011.

Maybe if I was not saved by that brave kid I may now be lying there as cold as steel inside a coffin.

I dont know if I'd look well inside a coffin, hmmm, of course I would want to look good inside a coffin, Id like to look like sleeping beauty than to look like someone who just died from drowning.

It was just a kids game, me and mam madz surveyed the depth of the pool step by step and with caution but to my surprise I just slipped and felt like theres a magnet pulling me deeper, i gasp for air, struggled and begged for help, with arms reaching out but death never came to mind, what was on my mind was that I have to get out of that depth, survival. I was helpless, I needed someone to rescue me that my state of helplessness.

Wew! That was close.

Im glad Ive reached my 35th birthday and there's so much reason to celebrate, another chance, one more year. Days after that many things came to mind. What if I died?

First lesson I have learned, that I should learn to swim. Well, I know how to float but during that time panic over powered me. It would be a shame but I should find time to learn, it never too late im not too old to learn swimming, anyways learning is a life long process.

Another lesson i have learned is the art of putting my plans and prayers to action. I always prayed that I will be able to share the gospel to my office mates, but that almost drowning incident made me realize that I prayed for years but never tried to share it to them, I had my own reasons that they were busy and I was busy, I kept on procrastinating and had alibis. Im just glad I already shared the gospel on my birthday, it was the best birthday gift I had, I ws the answer to my prayer.

I wish you enough

"I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright no matter how gray the day may appear.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun even more..
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive and everlasting.
I wish you enough pain so that even the smallest of joys in life may appear bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting…
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good- bye.
I'd like my readers to add i wish you enoughs with your version, Id really appreciate it.
Thank you in advance and have a nice day."

My first post for 2011

Happy new year to one and all!

This is my first post for 2011. My last post was I guess November of last year. I missed posting here. I guess I was busy with work but truly I was busy doing nothing. I said to myself that I would make one post per day but it was a target I never pursued making and never even tried my best to do it.

This year, I dont want to promise myself anything but I will just do it and not procrastinate.

Hopes and lots of things to come for the new year.

Make my heart Your Home

I Love this song.

CHORUS:
Come and make my heart Your home
Come and be everything I am and all I know
Search me through and through
‘Till my heart becomes a home for You

CHORUS
A home for You, Lord
A home for You, Lord
Let everything I do open up
A door for You to come through
And that my heart would be a place
Where You want to be…

CHORUS
You are my portion, filling up everything
You are the fortune, that’s causing my heart to sing
That it’s amazing…
That You could make Yourself at home with me

FROM THE START

You are my heaven
All is forgiven
I'm in love with You
You put me together
My love's forever
I will live for You

I was in pieces
Wrinkled with creases
Until You came
Now I live only
Simply to worship Your name

I've waited so long
But I see I was wrong
In not lovin' You
It took me some years
And some pain and some tears
But you pulled me through

I've waited so long
But I see You belong
Deep down in my heart
And I wonder why
I didn't love You from the start

I was confused then
Lost in a whirlwind
That was spinnin' round
You stopped my spinning
Gave me a beginning
On solid ground

Now there's a purpose
Life's not a circus
Since I've found You, Lord
I'm Yours forever
Take me and never
Let me leave Your word

I've waited so long
But I see I was wrong
In not lovin' You
It took me some years
And some pain and some tears
But you pulled me through

I've waited so long
But I see You belong
Deep down in my heart
And I wonder why
I didn't love You from the start

I've waited so long
But I see I was wrong
In not lovin' You
It took me some years
And some pain and some tears
But you pulled me through

I've waited so long
But I see You belong
Deep down in my heart
And I wonder why
I didn't love You from the start

Turmeric benefits

Turmeric is one of nature's most powerful healers. The active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin. Tumeric has been used for over 2500 years in India, where it was most likely first used as a dye.
The medicinal properties of this spice have been slowly revealing themselves over the centuries. Long known for its anti-inflammatory properties, recent research has revealed that turmeric is a natural wonder, proving beneficial in the treatment of many different health conditions from cancer to Alzheimer's disease.
Here are 20 reasons to add turmeric to your diet:
1. It is a natural antiseptic and antibacterial agent, useful in disinfecting cuts and burns.
2. When combined with cauliflower, it has shown to prevent prostate cancer and stop the growth of existing prostate cancer.
3. Prevented breast cancer from spreading to the lungs in mice.
4. May prevent melanoma and cause existing melanoma cells to commit suicide.
5. Reduces the risk of childhood leukemia.
6. Is a natural liver detoxifier.
7. May prevent and slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease by removing amyloyd plaque buildup in the brain.
8. May prevent metastases from occurring in many different forms of cancer.
9. It is a potent natural anti-inflammatory that works as well as many anti-inflammatory drugs but without the side effects.
10. Has shown promise in slowing the progression of multiple sclerosis in mice.
11. Is a natural painkiller and cox-2 inhibitor.
12. May aid in fat metabolism and help in weight management.
13. Has long been used in Chinese medicine as a treatment for depression.
14. Because of its anti-inflammatory properties, it is a natural treatment for arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
15. Boosts the effects of chemo drug paclitaxel and reduces its side effects.
16. Promising studies are underway on the effects of turmeric on pancreatic cancer.
17. Studies are ongoing in the positive effects of turmeric on multiple myeloma.
18. Has been shown to stop the growth of new blood vessels in tumors.
19. Speeds up wound healing and assists in remodeling of damaged skin.
20. May help in the treatment of psoriasis and other inflammatory skin conditions.
Turmeric can be taken in powder or pill form. It is available in pill form in most health food stores, usually in 250-500mg capsules.
Once you start using turmeric on a regular basis, it's fun to find new ways to use it in recipes. My favorite way to use it is to add a pinch of it to egg salad. It adds a nice flavor and gives the egg salad a rich yellow hue.
Contraindications: Turmeric should not be used by people with gallstones or bile obstruction. Though turmeric is often used by pregnant women, it is important to consult with a doctor before doing so as turmeric can be a uterine stimulant.

Pulse; my latest template

I love it, its just similar to my outdoorsy template but this is more lovely and I hope to keep this longer. The previous one is just a two column template while this one is a three column template and more organized. The problem is that I have to be very careful in adding tools on the side bar coz I could not modify the width. I have to look for things to imptove it and make it more interesting, its good that I found the latest gadget from blogger and I admit it helped me a lot.

Hope you also appreciate this nice looking template.

Woke up with a head ache early this morning. Cooked breakfast for every body, took a bath headed for work. I prayed it would subside but it got worst with all the paying subscribers who came and paid their bills. Ate, lunch but the pounding never ended. Hope advil would help alleviate the pain.

Blogging experiment number 1

Blogging Experiment number 1
Write a minimum of 1 new blog per day.

I just read this from a blog article, one way to improve visitors to your blog is a new blog each day. Well, to me its a challenge since im not good when it comes to blogging the english language and im not a good writer either, im just a second rate trying hard blogger and even though I have been doing this for the last five years Im still a newbie. There are a lot of things to learn, unlearn and relearn when it comes to blogging and also experimenting what I read and also trying them out. Im going to update you guys if theres going to be update and cheesy information and update regarding this blogging experiment that im doing.

Hope this will work or else I will not be able to make a new blog each day. I will be doing this for two weeks and hopefully I will get results. Wish me well my friends.

When things are vague....

Sad but true, most of the working population (I am so guilty to be part of that population) spend more time in the office than spending more time at home, meaning, we spend more time with our officemates and sometimes or more often than not things go vague and it seems they are beyond comprehension. MAybe, im just being paranoid about it and I know for many reasons I have myself as my own villain, paranoia ( A psychotic disorder characterized by delusions of persecution with or without grandeur, often strenuously defended with apparent logic and reason), I know Im just exaggerating but maybe thats just the word to describe im feeling, hehehehe, dont get my wrong but its just a jargon I over used when I was i college and maybe I have not overgrown the use such psychology terms.

Vague, things go vague and im the type of person who hate vague things and vague emotions of peple. Hmmmm, I try to understand them but I can only whisper a prayer for them and lots whispered prayers for me to survive a whole day of battle of emotions. I dont know if Im getting old faster than I think or maybe I think too much or maybe im minding other people that much and I have allowed them to intrude my own territory of emotions. I just have to let go and let God. All I can do is to focus and really do the best of what im doing and leave people their own lives. But the reality is that somehow they affect the way we think the way we behave and to some point the way we feel. But, anyways, I have decided that tomorrow is another day and I have to focus on God, fix my eyes on Jesus.

"And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

Colossians 3:23-24 (NKJV)

Death and dying

I attended the burial of Mark Paul ( younger brother of Ate Ann who just died from bone cancer), felt uneasy with this kind of situation. It brings back memories from the past when my father was there in the middle of the isle in front of the altar ( he died from lung cancer) . I brings back scenes that I have chosen to forget but now its so vivid like a movie flashing in my mind. I love purple and its the color of the t shirts of the close friends and relatives who attended the burial, I asked ate anne and she said its Mark's favorite color and the music on the background makes you miss the young boy all the more. Then, the thought came to mind, what color would I want my friends and relatives wear? hehehe, funny, but its a reality, maybe I'd love to see them all wearing pink of brown and I would ask them to play praise and worship songs and some of my favorite songs rather than good bye songs ( Still, I am a C, Reach by 7 S Club, Ang Huling El Bimbo, When I Fall In Love By Elvis presley, Kiss the Rain, 1234 BY Plain White T's, In a Rush By Blackstreet, and all Beatles SOngs, songs by america, England dan, Jim Croce, and Find Me by David Gates). Well, well, well, thats a long list but I'll add more.

I struggled and gave it all the effort to stop the tears from falling but they seem to have minds of their own. A drop escaped and the tears and there they fell one after the other. Im glad I have my sun glasses to hide my tears, but I realized I left my handkerchief wew, what a day.

The priest talked about life, death and dying and the hope of rising again, and talked of the day when we all meet the Creator. Its a relationship, God said in His word that if we repent and acknowledge that we are sinners and accept Him as our Lord and Saviour he will give us eternal lie. Thats why He died on the cross, he died that we may have life eternal. We may have pains and troubles in this world but we do not lose heart for in the end God will embrace us and we will be with Him in Heaven. Theres always hope, like theres rainbow after the rain and tomorrow is another day. Weeping may last for a night but God's joy will renew us in the morning.

Now, mark is no longer in  pain, the family will grieve but his memory will remain in their hearts and minds.
