Danggit chicharon and spanish omelette for breakfast!


Its thursday.
And I have these special treats for the housemates.
Special pasalubong from cebu, the chicharon danggit.
Just came from a wonderful cebu vacation and went enjoyed the malapascua island with it mouth watering food, great service and mingled with the fishing men and women of the fishing village. HAd a taste of fish hooked grilled fish. It was the best. And today I had the time to share awesome pasalubong from my father's homeland.

  
Just heat oil and deep fry danggit, make sure
you have paper towels to absorb all the oil.


This is spanish omelette:

You need 6 pcs potatoes cut nto small cubes
4 pcs eggs
1 piece onion finely chopped
4 cloves garlic minced 
1/2 cup cooking oil
1/4 kilo ground pork 
salt and pepper to taste

Procedure:

1. Saute garlic and onion.
2. Add ground pork and simmer for a few minutes.
3. Add the cubed potatoes cook until its tender and drain with a strainer.
4. Beat the eggs and add the potato and ground pork mixture.
4. Add oil and fry half of the mixture.
5. You can use a big plate to turn over the omelette to the other side so it wont fall apart.
6. Serve hot with catsup on the side.
7. Enjoy!
